Stolen from Chesgren "Your excuses are what stands in between the person you are today and the person you want to be in the future. Replace your excuses with clear goals with dates, strong action plans, and adjustment strategies and you will get there. This is not my opinion. Just ask any successful person, they'll tell you."

Goal one for this week: review fat content before eating item. Work to stick to 200 calories a day fat, no more. This will help with protein intake.

Goal two: Add a walking or biking session where missing to get cardio in each day, working to hit 10,000 steps a day again. Will check with trainer if that makes sense, given the weight training schedule he has in mind. I have my exercise bike ready to put into my house on Sunday after I give furniture to my daughter which will make space.

You know abbadabba, If this was 5 weeks ago I would have been so upset with your post if it were directed towards me. Why? Because I was deafened by my own excuses. Listen to Abba, she is speaking nothing but truth, the excuses and the "I'll do it next times" and the "I'm not capable of doing this." is the worst thing you can do to yourself. Just start small, set your goals and work on them. If you have to cheat, cheat; I PREFER YOU CHOOSE NOT TO but we have to learn to crawl before we can walk; walk before we can run. Stay with it and love yourself its the best thing you can do for you, not anyone else, but you.

Yeah, the excuses are how I got fat in the first place. Magical thinking: Oh, I can eat this, it's not that bad; no one's watching; no one will know. Unfortunately, the body doesn't participate in the fantasy that I'll get away with it. And to the tune of 125 lbs overweight, I didn't get away with it. Being more realistic these days and holding myself accountable (for the most part!)

Oh, Katsyk. I would like to wear a Tshirt of your post, starting with "Just start" and ending with "but you."

LadyinDenim, they are nice words aren't;t they? I repeat them to myself every time I feel like I'm struggling and wanting to stop. I've been truggling with self-motivation but there are a few things that always get me going and that's one of them.

A friend once said to me, "The time is going to pass anyway. You decide where you want to be in a year or five". So, I (we) must decide. I can set goals and make them happen, or I can make excuses and the time will pass without achieving them. So, I'm taking hold and controlling my life.
