2nd entry here today, and whilst not exactly food related does have merit.

I decided to go on an adventure today. First to show my strength over the pain, and second because I wanted coffee without having to pay for delivery plus tip.

I carefully planned what I wanted. Where I'd have to drive to get it, and then to be on the safe side, just in case I would have to get out of the Jeep, got dressed, including a bra!

I used all my phone's apps and ordered on-line my Starbucks (ready in 8 - 12 minutes), my Salad & Go (ready in 20 minutes, and my breakfast from Denny's (ready in 20-30 minutes) before leaving the house.

Arriving at the Starbucks, the drive thru line was 20 deep, so being very brave, I parked and went inside to pickup my order. Hallelujah it was ready and I was tottering back out to the Jeep with my hands full and no walker!!!

The Salad & Go was a quick run thru their empty drive thru, and I was on my way. Now I don't know what was going on with my Jeep because I was in gear and the clutch was fully released, but she wasn't pulling any energy above 2nd gear level, so at the next light I shut her down and hard started her on green. YAY, horsepower!!! It's freaking Sunday, I don't want to be broken down on the street, just a matter of blocks from home!

Onward, up the hill to the Denny's I went grateful that the end of my adventure was in sight. Grr...all the Curbside pick-up spaces were full, but yay, that jacked up weird handicap space was open. So I backed into the spot and now comes my real adventure.

I was beginning to think I was going to have to get out my walker and go inside here as well, when they finally answered and said they'd be right out with my food 😃. Here she comes, so excited, hot food, cool cloudy day, all I could ask for, right? No, wait it would be great if the Jeep would start! Deep breath, NO nothing just the dreaded CLICK and silence. GREAT!

Well lil sister & bil are away hiking and none of these people coming out of Denny's look like they'd have a clue how to jumpstart a vehicle. I think I have roadside service on my insurance, and sure enough I do!

Now this is my quandary - WHY WAS MY BEHAVIOR THE EXCEPTION INSTEAD OF THE RULE? The young lady assisting me was so grateful for my positive attitude and understanding. She didn't cause my battery to die, I wasn't in the middle of an emergency when this happened, so why wouldn't I be anything except pleasant, acknowledge that it may take up to an hour for the towtruck to get to me, and recognize that while not ideal, I could enjoy my hot breakfast and iced coffee while I was stuck waiting in the Denny's parking lot.

I hope we all can remember to be grateful for where we are and what we have regardless of what is going wrong around us.
