Jornal de abbadabba, 05 out 21

Yesterday I went out and bought a lot of vegetables and will start packing those up in the containers my neighbor gave me. Also got treats and packaged those in portion sizes. Going to start thinking in terms of protein, carb, fat, and veg instead of just calories to try to focus on eating food that is tasty and not that it just fits into a calorie count. I got curried chicken salad and that was great - I had that with a Costco croissant for lunch and then again with a broccoli salad for dinner.
Started some food prep by roasting veggies and sweet potatoes to portion out. Also bought frozen veggie stir fry so I can add my own protein and will use the cauliflower rice with that. I know vegetables aren't calorie-free but it is helping to make me think of them when I think about eating to bulk up my meals.
Steaming cabbage today with ginger and garlic to freeze. Also going to make up the salad kit and portion it out for the week, one container a day.
Okay, gotta get to work!

I usually pay attention to calories, but also think it's a good idea to think in terms of protein and vegetables at least. I could really never have another vegetable unless I make a point to include them in my diet. The containers are a good idea!
