The eye specialist performed laser surgery on my retina since I did have a small "lifting" he called it, and they tacked it down in a 5-minute procedure. So, eyeball should be on the mend! No restrictions to activity so I am off to the dance weekend tonight and hope the weather doesn't force the committee to cancel.
Trying to stick to both the fridge clean out and the no-starch plan. Seeing as I don't really have too much of the "no" foods, I am doing ok. I do have waffles, frozen bread, and those little mini quiches which bump up the daily calorie count, plus the stupid Girl Scout cookies that I bought. Some things may stay in the freezer for future potlucks.

Went to my retina doctor on Tuesday. I had a slight separation in my left eye. Completed the laser surgery that day. Total appointment under an hour and back to normal. AMAZING stuff!

Chris, neither Abbadabba nor I would need an eye patch. Modern laser surgery is way cool.

@chrisw77 the doctor said I had no restrictions, could run a marathon if I wanted to and was ok with me going to a square-dance weekend with 15 hours or so of dancing. Amazing stuff. So, all I got was some dorky sunglasses, no cool eyepatch!

Chris, I had Lasik surgery back in 2007. Although my distance vision is greatly improved, I still need glasses and it caused astigmatism s in both eyes. No longer can get a 20/20 in both eyes even with glasses. Although, I am sure the surgery is much better now.

I freeze my cookies which discourages me from eating entire package all at once.
