Today's my birthday and Curt & I are going out for dinner. I'm going to try to stay on track, but I might go over because of fats and starchy carbs. I am trying to incorporate beans in my diet 3 times per day in an attempt to stabilize my blood sugar. Also, I'm using more good fats than I normally would because I believe they aid in digestion. Fats and starchy carbs are so high in calories. This is difficult for me. I'm so used to using fats liberally and since my diabetes diagnosis I stopped eating starchy carbs. I leave for Michigan on the 14th and while I will continue to track my meals I will allow myself a little wiggle room. I will continue to stay away from grains (except brown rice), sugar, white potatoes, bad fats. Instead, I will focus on healthy foods packed with vitamins and nutrients for my body. When I get back, I will tweak my plan for 1200 calories rather than 1900 which I believe is too much for me. Again, I am doing all this to normalize my blood sugar and maintain my current weight. I do not believe I am capable of loosing & maintaining weight anymore.

P.S. I kept calories under goal with a little less than 200 to spare. Great day!
