Yesterday, i got rained on from 6AM to around 11AM and then again on our walk at 6PM where i decided to race the clouds on the horizon and lost — badly. Soaked through and through pretty much all day. Thankfully, it wasn’t a true downpour like earlier this year, but had to come home and shower and then blow dry two of the three dogs. Summer wasn’t having it, but she seems to be waterproof as well. We got almost all the way through a long walk, but ended up sheltering under trees and then made our way home.
slept extremely well last night. My body was tired and the mind just followed into blissful sleep. From the news, it looks like Science Festival was decent success even with the rain and a new location. That’s what we want to see, lots of happy kids playing scientist.
Cleaning house this morning as it’s raining off and on and I’m over it. I know we could have it far worse, so I’m not complaining. Might swim if I can get the umbrellas to shelter me from the rain. My lower back is a little sore, so i want to be a little gentle on my body. If I can’t take it, I’ll row.
Yard is completely overgrown from the rain. It’s amazing how it can go from dirt to lush in a few days with the right combo of rain and sun. Spring has begun to make its way into the world and I’m glad. I appreciate every moment of daylight we’re adding.
Numbers are unremarkable, blob is up a bit, but nothing to worry about. We’ll just keep moving. No pics today. Onwards!
