My daughter lived just North of DFW until a year ago and they moved to Michigan. It’s still snowing in Michigan and Dallas has had baseball sized hail. Pictures are impressive.

My dad loved Texas - vacationed every year at Toledo Bend. Had a friend who lived at Lake Livingston. And a friend who lives near Waco.

Thank you all. I am looking forward to the move, and agree most people I have met are nice, and in some ways have reminded me how to be nice to strangers.

TJ, Enjoy your move to TX. Am very familiar with the area, both business and personal. Much hotter & more humid than the Bay, but there's a lot of positives about TX.

Bionici, thank you! I agree with you description. Have lived in the south before (NOLA) so am up on humidity. Will definitely be the biggest change from the bay, but also appreciate no place is perfect ( utopian). Five year will tell if it’s forever or on to the next adventure. 😁
