Visit to Spine Dr. yesterday was informative. I am not a candidate for surgery and to quote him "I should go running and screaming out of their office" of any Dr. that even suggests surgery in my current condition! He is referring me for Aqua Physical Therapy, so fingers crossed that will help get me back on my feet. Scheduled for 3 visits in May and it supposedly is covered under my insurance as a $60 copay per visit. Fingers crossed since I'm still paying off my Physical Therapy from 2020. The girl making my appointments couldn't help me beyond finding a therapist that accepts my insurance at a location convenient to my job. So now to see if I'll be able to get OUT of the pool is my next concern.
The reason I haven't been swimming in 2 years isn't because I didn't want to, but because I can barely pull myself up out of a chair into a standing position. No way in hell I would have been able to get out of my community pool. I had trouble getting up and out from that last step before Covid when I could still walk and stand without support.
Dr. was very concerned about the amount of subcutaneous fat and wants me to double my efforts to get the weight off. Especially since I told him about losing the 20 lbs while working from home and gaining back the 10 lbs since they made me come back to the office.
Anyway I'm back at work today, but my boss is supposed to be out of the office tomorrow and maybe Friday, so fingers crossed for a peaceful and less stressed end of the week/month. Happy Wednesday y'all!
