I don't agree, but recording it to hold myself accountable. Pooped last night for the first time in 2 days. Full bowel movement, so the first one of those in awhile. No way did I gain weight after all that I expelled. Enough potty mouth!

Finally got a massage scheduled for this weekend, and guess what...it's the same time Dave; remember my temporary, (ended up being 6 months), house guest from 2019, arranged for movers to finally come and remove his dresser. Now did he discuss this with me before making arrangements? NO he discussed it with my bil, who also didn't discuss it with me before cementing their plan. I realize that most Saturday's I spend in and out of bed recovering from dealing with being at the office, and all that entails for the week prior, but seriously how would you feel if I made plans to come into your house with strangers and didn't discuss it with you in advance? Being TOLD that it's been planned, or how much Dave is spending on these guys, or that it's the only time bil would be available to help him, doesn't make me feel any less violated.

I truly do appreciate how much lil sis and bil do for and have done for me since my surgery in 2017. And of course I rely heavily on their assistance with transportation around their otherwise busy schedules. On the other hand I think they sometimes forget that I do have a right of privacy in my own home. Having them come by, on an almost daily basis, during the 15 months that I was working from home, seems to have negated their advising me of when they're going to be at the house, regardless of whether I'm there, or not. I provide free indoor storage for lil sis' off season clothes and a variety of their excess equipment items including a bicycle (that was plural before those were stolen from my back patio, hence the indoor storage for this one). Usually I don't have an issue with their comings and goings, as most of the time they are kind enough to assist with so many things I can no longer do without considerable pain and effort. Like wheeling down the recycling/trash bins, by hauling the trash/recycling from the kitchen out to the bins, feeding/watering the kitties, and various other things. It was a lovely surprise birthday gift to find my bil had gone in and cleaned my floors while I was at work. On the other hand I would have appreciated knowing he was coming so that I could have emptied/loaded the dishwasher, gotten all my laundry up off the bathroom floor, and so many other little things that you do when you know that someone's going to be there.

OMG what's wrong with me. That's a whole dissertation of me bitching about the small stuff. Sorry guys. Put it down to pain, lack of sleep, or most likely in this case LACK OF CAFFINE. I drive myself to work most Friday's, and don't stop for coffee on the way in. That's primarily due to not wanting the extra pain caused by sitting in some long line and having to do all the extra brake, gas, brake, gas before getting to the office. I'm usually in tears long before I get here, but last time I stopped for coffee on the way in, I was full out crying and I hate to show additional weakness in front of these people.

Good Grief, stopping now!

Have a great weekend people. Stay safe and well out there.

Hi Jeannie, thinking of you and wishing you well. Keep journaling those honest emotions, it helps to let it out, and wanting to be notified is more than fair, glad that you are blessed with great family. Have a blessed weekend🙏🏽💕

Hang in there, we all have trials, some of us just get to be grateful that our trials are small!

Sometimes bitching about what's bugging us is the healthiest thing we can do. I'm not talking about constant whining, which you never do, just letting it all out occasionally. Do it, we can take it.

And, BTW, nothing wrong with setting boundaries with your family. Just put it in terms of how it makes you feel, that way it doesn't put them on the defensive.

jeannie, I honestly don't know how you endure what you do without bitching. I think this is a fantastic venue for it and it lets it out without spewing in someone's face. nice visual, huh? you need to do what you need to do to maintain mental balance.

Better to rant here than to take it out on those whom you love and need. I hope you have a fabulous massage!

I do wish you wouldn't be so hard on yourself about "sweating the small stuff". If you don't get it out, small stuff adds up and turns into big stuff. Its when it turns into big stuff that we end up doing the most damage to those we love as well as ourselves when we finally blow up. Besides, as my therapist told me hundreds of times, its not complaining if you're trying to fix it, its called communication and communication is key to any kind of lasting, impactful relationship. Venting is a part of that process. So, as far as I am concerned... vent away.
