Tonight I am drinking some alcohol-free wine which is pretty good. I like the taste of wine but not the hangover, and it doesn't take more than one glass to make me groggy in the morning - partly I think from the fact that there is a little migraine effect going on with the grape-itude of the wine more than the alcohol actually. Nice to sit and sip.

First meeting with the mediator and some financial items came onto the table - first step in my break up with hubby - this is a sad night. Sort of like how a company exec feels when he is asked to retire against his will, I imagine - there is so much money involved in both situations!

Anyway, I have been careful about what I eat overall but I had a pig-out yesterday for lunch that was well worth whatever it did to my waistline. So much yummy food, I was so happy when I was done: lobster newburg with puff pastry crust, spicy chicken fajitas, beatiful soft buns with butter, home-style ranch dressing on a nice little salad - oh, and strawberry shortcake! I like that Weight Watchers says to eat whatever you want! So far I have not felt deprived, and I do think I have learned some healthier fodds to eat than what I was eating before WW.

My storage container came today - it is HUGE! Lots of stuff can be stored out there so I can remodel my house, and DH is going to use it for his packed up stuff so his moving day will go a little faster. The man really does have a lot of stuff. (Is there a label for "soon to be ex"-husband?)

Have a good day tomorrow - sorry for late posting but I have busy days these days!

You seem to be handling the pending separation well. I admire you for that fact. I don't think there IS a word for a son-to-be-ex. I am sure we could think of a few new ones - or some old unsavory ones. As for the wine - it is wonderful in taste and buzz factor - but it leaves my face as red as the wine in the glass! I think of you when I eat my Weight Watchers Cheese. Wow! Three separate but connected topics - wine - ex husbands - and cheese. They DO seem to go together somehow!

Abba I am so sorry you have to go through this. I know how tough it can be but you are strong and you will get through this. Remember think about all the good things that are going to happen when this is over and how exciting it will be to start a new life, one that you want and one that makes you happy. It is time to start thinking about yourself! I am here for you. You know that. Have a great day and I was getting hungry just reading about that strawberry shortcake. Hugs

I am also very sorry that you have to go through these hard times. I can imagine how difficult and stressful it must be. However, you seem to really be holding up well, especially on the diet end of things. I tend to eat junk in stressful situations. You will pull through this stronger than before, I know it. Remember, "This too shall pass."

I am very fortunate that my Soon-to-be wants to be respectful of what we had and to be a good father to our daughters.

Indeed ... you are quite fortunate in that respect Abba!! Still, it is SAD ... loss is loss even when we KNOW it is the *best* thing ... even when we are ready to *let go* I think it is still SAD. My thoughts are with you and in some strange way I feel a kinship even though our situations are quite different, they both involve life adjustments, loss of some kind, and seeing our "plans" for the future shift. Your lunch sounds stupendous and I love your no guilt approach!! I wish I had eaten those good things you ate instead of what I ate yesterday evening! I so much more enjoy a planned indulgence!!

Thanks, Madaboutmoose! I agree we are both on a downswing these days - sad is sad, no matter what causes it. Hope it gets better for both of us soon!

Absolutely Abba ... and it will, we just don't know when.
