Christmas is tomorrow! I have to go out and get a few fun things for tomorrow otherwise Rita the Dog is the only one with presents under the tree! I'll get some bird treats for my parrots and something for my roommate - probably a magazine rack to go with the National Geographic subscription I am buying for her.

Last night my class got out early and I went to contradancing after all. Lots of fun - Woody was there and booked up every other dance, including the waltz which is usually for couples. He is very silly - jokes around all through the dancing and makes funny comments about everything. He is in his mid-sixties and fairly settled. I had a good time which was very helpful after the boring tax class! And I have today off from work as a paid holiday.

Food: I just gave up trying to keep track of how much I have been eating, suffice it to say I have been eating too much! Hope to have trackable amounts after tomorrow and all the parties being over. Next week I have to decide what I am doing re New Year's Eve - probably up to New Hampshire for dinner and back for midnight at contra. I told my roommate we would go to New Hampshire so that is probably what we'll do.

Our tree is up and my daughters will be home on Monday night. My family-of-origin is celebrating on Wednesday so that works out really well.

Lots of party invites tonight and tomorrow - people love me and know I am alone this year and they want me to be happy. I am very lucky that way.
