This is a picture of the Las Vegas strip, taken yesterday. We got all the smoke from the Creek fire in Calif.( near Yosemite) It was sooo hazy. I feel for all those affected by the many fires burning right now..I pray for all the firefighters as well.

I pray too. I live in Pierce County WA where we have several within miles of each other. I live 10 to 15 miles from 3 of them. I'm praying they don't come our way. We live in such a far out area that there are only 3 ways out of town and one would be blocked due to fires. They'd have to direct the two lane traffic to one way out of town according to Emergency Management my daughter organizes for here in the county. It went down this morning but flared back up this evening.

Thank you Diana. These fires are said to be, by the authorities, all started by people. People need to remember hot temps, no rains (even in western WA), and poor judgement on the part of people cause loss of life, property, and environmental damage for years. Please be knowledgeable and considerate during the hot weather times of year everywhere. Thank you. BTW, if anyone asks, stress causes triggers for overeating issues for some people.

@ It must be so much worse by you..We had high winds yesterday (50+mph) and it did blow away smoke and lowered our temp but brought on other problems for people like me who have breathing issues (asthma) Stayed home from gym yesterday and walked on treadmill...

That is so awful. It's hard to believe that the smoke is moving that far. Thanks for reminder about firefighters. I will definitely add them to my prayer list. Be safe.
