Day 79
My housemate went to the chiropractor today, and came home and announced that she did NOT like what she saw in the doctor's mirror so now we are definitely committing to eating healthy! We might join weight watchers together.
I think she is happy to be living here - as much as I include her in my things, she includes me in hers - she belongs to a Sunday dinner coop, and the way it works is that each person takes a Sunday and cooks a meal for everyone in the coop. And they meet every week! Did I tell you all that already? I think it's a great system. So, she wants me to join too and then we won't have to cook on Sundays except two times in the rotation of 12 weeks (more or less). This is even better than I expected!
Plus the dog has settled in and seems as happy as an old arthritic former stray can be. Lots more tailwagging these days.
AND the rooms are really getting organized - gotta be straightened out by Sunday nights, because if we have anything laying around on Monday, the cleaning ladies put it away and they don't necessarily put it in the right place - I am still looking for a blouse I think they tidied up into a drawer somewhere...
Also, I met a guy on Saturday who has restored my faith in the Universe - not someone I am going out with, but someone who reminded me that what I really crave is conversation that is entertaining. Really, more than anything else.
