It sounds like you're going through hell. I'm sorry. ❤️ are you cancer free? why are you on steroids now, if you don't mind me asking. Hang in there. I'm glad you have some friends and family. You gained, oh well. it's a new day. are you counting and logging? i suggest that because you will be much more miserable if you keep gaining. we are here to support you! 🙌  

Ideas: 💡⭐ Food bank EBT: If unemployed w/ disabilities eligible immediately benefits can be received within five business days. Energy assistance credit is usable once per year when you meet the income requirements. Church's will assist with bill payments and rent when you explain the situation. I know this will be embarrassing it doesn't sound like you have much choice. I've been in this situation myself and none others to be in this situation. The kindness of others is an amazing thing (which is why it's important that we always be kind to others when we're able and give to them what we are able.) GoFundMe page: it's not a particularly high likelihood that you'll make much money but it's a possibility and is worth an effort. Gig work: example I make an easy $30 doing surveys even with no time. Just for buys random things for the kids or myself on Amazon. If you put time and effort you could make up to a hundred on that app and put it on PayPal instead of Amazon. Door dash, Teach English to Japanese students (no Japanese language knowledge required), etc. 

I also have a bunch of recipes for making meals from budget ingredients/odd things (think 🤔 food bank oddities). And buying cheap doesn't have to be a bad thing we have really gotten spoiled in the modern age. I've learned so many cool techniques to soften meat that I'm not as concerned these days about finding that high quality meat that I once was. Don't get me wrong I'd love to buy premium meats. But I don't have to I can make them taste the same and be just as tender by using a little bit of baking soda soaking the meat in milk 30 minutes, it's not hard to Velvet meat. Also a big fan of ceviche, it just adds so much flavor. Anyhoo, if you'd like any recipes just let me know. 

So sorry you are dealing with this. It seems like you should be able to get on disability but I know there are long waits for everything since Covid

Troubling news. I'm glad to hear that you have family and friends who are there for you. We wish you healing, Jeannie. 

I've got colon cancer and applied for SSI about 4 months ago. While waiting though, I was automatically approved for emergency EBT assistance one day after applying (anyone who applies for SSI/SSDI is). Every little bit of help counts in a time such as this... Hope this helps 👍

Jennie— if you are chair bound now would your type of work translate to a remote job? Definitely check into emergency EBT., HUD housing, food banks. I hope your debilitating medical condition is being addressed as well. Good to know you have a support team.

I've been wondering how you are doing and hoping for an update. However I was hoping for better news. Wish I had suggestions for you to try, but I got nothing. Please know that others care and are praying for you.
