Down a little more! Just waiting to drop BELOW 163! It encourages me to keep on keeping on. Am not being hungry between meals. Most cravings I have are for fruit. Fortunately our figs are getting ripe -- if I can beat the coyotes to them. Have seen a coyote in that end of the orchard twice last week. Old Hank doesn't seem to mind them being in the orchard any more. He did get in a frenzy on the scent trail last time he visited the fig tree with me. Was funny to watch him following it.

Fried tilapia with zucchini, leafy green salad for supper last night. Chocolate/coffee smoothie this morning with plantain and MCT Wellness. Aiming for green salad with tomato, avocado, olives, and bacon for lunch. Green stuffed olives add just that little bit more of interest to the salads.

You're doing great on the weight loss, well done. I am so envious of your having fig trees, I love fresh figs but refuse to pay almost a dollar a fig in the grocery store. When we were children we would climb into my grandmother's fig tree and just sit there eating figs, oh so delicious!

You are doing great! Here in New England, my yard has been producing loads of berries: blueberries, raspberries and blackberries. So delicious, but it's hard to stay in ketosis. I grew up with figs in California. Like berries, they're very expensive to buy in the stores. I enjoyed reading about yours and the coyote competition. We have to net the berries against bird and bunny predation.

That fig tree was planted by hubby's parents went he was small. It has to be well over 70 years old. Several winters it has frozen back to the ground, but returns and keeps on producing. Hubby's Dad planted the orchard many years ago. Every year hubby has to replace a tree that has reached its productive end, or that drought has finished. The pear tree is almost gone, but still gives us a few pears, even in our crazy weather we've had for the last few years. Coyotes like to raid any fruit within reach.

Rhonda, HEB Groceries carry them here in Houston, but they're $6 for about 10 figs, utterly ridiculous. So, I think we should go visit Texasgranny. I'll take her some shrimp étouffeé and see if she'll trade it for some figs.
